En réponse aux abus militaires israéliens, d’énormes manifestations de solidarité avec le peuple palestinien ont envahies les rues à travers le monde. Des manifestants d’un bout à l’autre du Moyen-Orient et dans les capitales de plusieurs autres pays d’Europe et d’Amérique se sont mobilisés en solidarité pour les droits humains des palestinienNEs et pour mettre fin à l’apartheid israélien.

Près de 10 000 personnes se sont rassemblées cette fin de semaine à Montréal pour exiger l’arrêt immédiat de l’invasion israélienne de la Bande de Gaza, la levée du siège israélien sur Gaza et la fin de la complicité canadienne à l’apartheid israélien.

Des milliers se rassembleront à Montréal la fin de semaine prochaine en solidarité avec Gaza pour se rallier au mouvement de solidarité international croissant avec les peuple palestinien de Gaza.

Alors que l’armée israélienne lance une invasion majeure sur la bande de Gaza et continue ses attaques aériennes qui ont causé la mort de plus de 500 palestinieNEs et 2400 autres blésséEs, il est maintenant le temps de prendre les rues en solidarité avec le peuple palestinien.

Au cours des deux dernières années, la Bande de Gaza à été sous la violence quotidienne d’une crise humanitaire de grave envergure déclenchée par la limitation à l’accès aux sources d’énergies, d’alimentations et de médicaments. En effet, cette région est aujourd’hui la plus grande prison à ciel ouvert au monde.

Les gouvernements du Québec et du Canada se tiennent dans la complicité directe avec l’apartheid israélien. Les deux gouvernements ont récemment renforcé leurs liens bilatéraux économiques, militaires et politiques avec Israël. En fait, cet automne, le gouvernement Libéral de Jean Charest a encré un accord bilatéral avec Israël en revanche aux appels internationals croissants pour un boycottage économique du gouvernement israélien pour ses crimes de guerre continus en Palestine.

Aujourd’hui, nous ne pouvons que réaffirmer notre engagement à rallier nos amiEs et alliéEs des autres mouvements sociaux progressistes à la campagne de boycott, de sanctions et de désinvestissement (BDS) initiée par plus de 170 organismes de la société civile palestinienne.

Cette manifestation est organisée par Solidarité pour les Droits Humains Palestiniens (SDHP), Tadamon! Montréal avec la Coalition pour la Justice et le Paix en Palestine (CJPP).

Across the world protesters are taking to the streets in opposition to the current Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip. Across the Middle East, Europe, North America and internationally a movement in solidarity for Palestinian human rights and against Israeli apartheid has been ignited.

In Montreal an estimated 10 000 people gathered this weekend to call for an immediate end to the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, an end to the blockade on Gaza and for an end to Canadian complicity in Israeli apartheid.

Thousands will gather in Montreal this upcoming weekend to stand in solidarity with Gaza as part of a growing international movement in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.

As Israeli military forces have commenced an invasion of the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli military continues the aerial assault on Gaza which has taken the lives of over 500 Palestinians, wounding an estimated 2400, now is the time to take to the streets in solidarity with Palestine.

Over the past two years the Gaza Strip has been undergoing the daily violence of a wide-ranging humanitarian catastrophe triggered by severely reduced access to energy, food, and medicines. In effect, Gaza is the world’s largest open air prison.

Both the governments of Quebec and Canada stand in direct complicity with Israeli apartheid. In recent years both governments in Quebec and Canada have heightened bilateral relations with Israel increasing bilateral economic, military and political links. This fall the Liberal government of Jean Charest inked a bilateral trade deal with Israel, standing in stark contrast to the growing international calls for an economic boycott of the Israeli government in light of ongoing Israeli war crimes in Palestine.

At this moment, we can only reaffirm our commitment in the strongest possible terms to continue mobilizing friends and allies in other progressive social movements to respond to the call by over 170 Palestinian civil society organizations for a comprehensive campaign of boycott, sanctions and divestment (BDS).
