10 minutes per week to have an Indymedia-Quebec? (2009)

Collectif CMAQ, Domingo, Septiembre 16, 2007 - 17:24

There are many ways to help or contribute, but there is one small, yet crucial, way...

For only 10 minutes a week, you can participate in the Quebec-Indymedia (CMAQ) by verifying one or two texts deposited on line.

Participate in the Editorial Team :
All you need to do is verify if a text respects the CMAQ norms (eg.: is not racist, not sexist) and if it concerns a theme relevant for this alternative and independent media for social justice.

This small participation is rather important, otherwise contributions can remain unpublished for days.

And, if you want or have the time, you can also correct technical errors in texts. For example, you can check if the correct topics were selected (eg.: Education | Indymedia).

Would you like to give 10 minutes a week to keep the CMAQ alive? ...

If so, here is how...

To be added on the Editorial Team's list (in charge of making the texts visible on the site) or on the Tech Team, you need to ask one the CMAQ collectives. You can do this either during one of their meetings (though this can be done from afar with a voice over the Internet software) OR they can simply endorse you.

Obviously, you must read our Editorial policy and declare your intention to help and respect its collective editorial norms. These norms or Editorial policy are debatable and can sometimes be edited during a Collective meeting.

What is important is that you communicate with one of the collectives:
collective in Montreal (IMC-Montreal) »»
collective in Quebec City : does not meet currently, but Michaël from Quebec City receives the messages sent to info [at] cmaq.net
emerging collectives : we can put you in contact with other people with whom you can create your own regional collective.

Where and when ?
— To your right, there is a block which presents announcements for the democratic life of CMAQ Collective. This block will show the next meetings...
