Project Fly Home Campaign 2008 to 2011

Sáb, 2011-11-19 23:47

Abousfian Abdelrazik has become a symbol of the fight against racial profiling and Islamophobia and a rallying point for those who oppose guilt by association and increasing state power.

From 2008 to 2011, Project Fly Home, a grassroots group, has mobilized support in Montreal and coordinated with other cities to support Abdelrazik's campaign first to return to Canada, and then to free himself from a UN blacklisting regime. This photo essay reflects some of their campaign.

This is an alternative media using open publishing. The CMAQ collective, who validates the posts submitted on the Indymedia-Quebec, does not endorse in any way the opinions and statements and does not judge if the information is correct or true. The quality of the information is evaluated by the comments from Internet surfers, like yourself. We nonetheless have an Editorial Policy, which essentially requires that posts be related to questions of emancipation and does not come from a commercial media.
